Formentera

This is a tiny island in the Balearic's. Its one of the most beautiful places i have ever been to and have had the best holidays here. You have to fly to Ibiza and then get a boat across to the island. There aren't very many hotels and the apartments aren't cheap, so its basic but it really doesnt matter. The beaches are amazing, sunsets breathtaking and the food fantastic. This apartment is 100m from Mijorn beach, so you are never far away from fun with the kids!! Its well worth a visit.

Party

Pops had her 4th birthday last week and we as you may have been reading had a little party. I was very nervous and wasn't really sure if i was doing it all OK. In the end i realised they are 4 year olds and all they want is to have some fun, dance and win some prizes.
We made crowns and superhero masks ( i cut out crowns and masks and they decorated them. We did a very civilised pass the parcel. Musical statues and everyone won a prize for the best statue no one went out!!
We ate a snake sandwich, princess cake, cake pops, popcorn and  they had lots and lots of fun. I even overheard some children at home time saying i don't want to go yet.

Sixteen and Seventeen - 52

Time really does fly and some days i find it hard to keep up posting. I am now really behind on this project!! eekk

I decided to post a picture together as they are getting closer and closer each week. A bond that will last a lifetime!! Seeing them tither makes my heart melt

Taylor isn't the best eater, he is getting better but its a slow and sometimes frustrating process!!

it was mini beasts week at school. Pops went into the garden and collected alot of snails. She was sooo excited to take them in to show her teachers

Birthday Things

Its been a crazy couple of weeks in our house. Pops has turned 4, Taylor has more teeth coming through and has tonsillitis. I have been trying to sort out Pops party for this weekend and didn't realise how stressful organising it can be, especially party favors not being too much like junk!!
One thing Im not stressing about is the food!! Pops has been very specific about what she wants. I want the table to look fun ( and stylish). here are some table and food ideas that i love. I am going with a confetti theme and she wants a princess cake.

Life's a Beach

When going to the beach i always pop on jeans and a t-shirt. Its very boring but generally practical. This year i have been looking at some alternatives. Mango is a shop i usually walk by but i have recently discovered that i shouldn't. Its has some really lovely pieces in. I have picked some of my favorite beach wear items here. Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the sun!!

Fifteen - 52

OMG this teething doesnt stop. He has 5 teeth coming through all at once. But still he keeps smiling.

We had a day out at the beach. Pops was in her element!! It was very windy but the sun was out. She was very happy

Babies Footwear

There is an argument for little ones feet. The argument is barefoot wear Vs fitted shoes!! With my first born I went fitted shoes. I found her little feet plonked around and there was no give. Her feet seemed restricted and it didn't feel natural. With my little man i am going with the barefoot wear. My first glimpse of barefoot wear was on Bleubirds blog with her little ones. Little Moccasins. I found out they were made by an American company called Freshly Squeezed. I loved the fact that they came in lots of different colours and sizes even for toddlers. Amy and Ivor are a UK based company selling moccasins. As soon as my man is walking I really want him in these.

Escape

As  summer is almost upon us i thought i might post a series of family friendly holiday accommodation.    Here is a fantastic place called Shingle House. Its on the beach in Dungeness, Romney Marsh in Kent. Its pretty remote, you would need to stock up the car before you go. but once you get there, there are some great things to do with the kids. As well as the beach there is the old lighthouse, the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch minature railway ( which runs right past the house and the kids will love it), the sound mirrors and a trip to france amongst others. I really love it and am thinking about renting it myself!!

Check out this little family holiday boat in Berlin. Its amazing. The only kind of boat holiday i would go on. Its modern and minimal without being too over the top.
